Welcome to the Jungle: After Hera Pheri 3, another Bollywood film starring Akshay Kumar
Welcome to the Jungle seems to be running into trouble. Some actors have reportedly backed out of the project. But why is this happening? Let’s find out.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s film Hera Pheri 3 has been stuck for a long time, especially after Paresh Rawal stepped away from the project. Now, another of Akshay’s films — Welcome to the Jungle — is also facing problems.
According to recent reports, the movie has run into financial trouble even before its release. It’s being said that many actors and crew members haven’t been paid their agreed fees for quite some time, which has led to the shoot being put on hold for now.
2 to 3 Shooting Schedules Cancelled
According to a report by Pinkvilla, around two to three shooting schedules of Akshay Kumar’s film Welcome to the Jungle have been called off, which has made the situation even more concerning.
The reason? None of the actors have received the fees they were promised. In fact, the last time the film was shot was back in August 2023. Since then — nearly 9 to 10 months — there’s been no real progress on the project.
Money Trouble Causing Delays
A source close to the film told Pinkvilla that the cancellation of two to three schedules of Welcome to the Jungle has left both the actors and the makers confused and stuck.
The actors had already blocked dates for the film and committed their time to producer Firoz Nadiadwala. But at the last minute, the shoots were cancelled due to financial problems and logistical issues.
Some Actors Have Left the Film
The source also revealed that due to the financial crisis and non-payment of promised fees, some of the actors who were cast in Welcome to the Jungle have quit the film.
So far, the makers haven’t released any official statement about the situation.
As for the cast, the film features a star-studded lineup including Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, and Disha Patani, among others.
