Panic spread again on Tuesday morning after a Bomb Threat at Vadodara school shocked students, parents, and staff for the second day in a row. Navrachana Higher Secondary School (NHSS) in Sama received another threatening email stating a bomb would explode on the campus by 2 pm.
The school management immediately informed the police. Following protocol, the entire campus was evacuated, and all students were sent home safely. Bomb squad and dog squad teams reached the school soon after and started a full search of the premises. Every classroom, corridor, and even water pipelines were checked, but no suspicious items were found.
This is the second time in two days that such a threat has been received by Navrachana School. Monday’s threat had also caused a major disruption, but turned out to be a hoax. In both cases, the emails were sent from unknown sources and reportedly mentioned political matters from Tamil Nadu.
Security Measures and Investigation
The following steps were taken after the threat:
- Two threatening emails were received, one on the principal’s mail ID and the other on the school’s general ID
- Vadodara Police registered a complaint at the Sama Police Station
- Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), along with the dog squa,d conducted a complete check
- The school postponed its annual prize distribution ceremony as a precaution
- Cyber cell experts have begun tracking the origin of the email, attempting to identify the sender through their IP address
Tejal Amin, Chairperson of Navrachana Education Society, confirmed that no student was harmed and praised the authorities for quick action. She stated that safety remains the school’s top priority.
Police officials have requested all schools across the city to stay alert and report any suspicious communication immediately. They are also urging parents to remain calm and rely on official updates from school authorities or the police.
