The third installment of the popular comedy franchise Hera Pheri has been making headlines for reasons beyond just entertainment. Fans were shocked when veteran actor Paresh Rawal declined to be part of Hera Pheri 3, sparking rumours and disappointment across the industry. Things escalated further when the matter landed in court, following a ₹25 crore lawsuit reportedly filed by Akshay Kumar’s production company, Cape of Good Cinema, against Paresh Rawal.
In a recent interview, Akshay Kumar finally broke his silence on the matter. When asked about the status of Hera Pheri 3, he said,

“Everything that is happening is in front of everyone. Fingers crossed, hope everything will be fine.”
He added with confidence,
“Everything will be fine, I am fully confident.”
Despite the legal drama, Akshay’s hopeful statement has stirred conversations among fans, with many speculating that Paresh Rawal might still return as the iconic character Baburao Ganpatrao Apte.
Meanwhile, Twitter users have voiced strong support for Paresh Rawal, calling him the soul of the franchise. Many users declared they would not watch the film without him. However, Paresh Rawal responded to fan requests by stating clearly, “I’m not a hero,” implying he isn’t returning.
The controversy continues, but fans remain hopeful for the classic trio’s return, Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal to recreate the magic of Hera Pheri once more.
