Mahindra is preparing to launch a feature-rich variant of its popular SUV, the Scorpio N, which will soon come equipped with a panoramic sunroof and an advanced Level 2 ADAS suite. This marks a major upgrade over the current version, which only gets a single-pane electric sunroof in top trims.
The refreshed Scorpio N will likely be introduced as a new variant, and official price announcements are expected shortly.
Major Feature Additions
According to sources close to the company, the upgraded Scorpio N will offer:

- Panoramic Sunroof replacing the existing single-pane sunroof
- Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System)
While Mahindra has yet to confirm the exact features in the ADAS suite, it is expected to mirror those found in the XUV700, including:
- Smart Pilot Assist
- Forward Collision Warning
- Automatic Emergency Braking
- Lane Departure Warning
- Lane Keep Assist
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Traffic Sign Recognition
- High Beam Assist
Engine and Transmission Options
The new Scorpio N variant is expected to retain its current engine lineup:
- 2.0-litre turbo-petrol
- 2.2-litre diesel
Both engines are likely to be paired with 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic gearboxes. A 4WD (four-wheel-drive) option is also expected to be offered in the upgraded trim.
What This Means for Buyers
This upgrade brings the Scorpio N closer to being a premium, feature-loaded SUV, better positioned to compete with rivals like the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, and its own sibling, the XUV700. With a panoramic sunroof and ADAS, Mahindra is aiming to meet rising consumer demand for comfort and tech-driven safety in the SUV segment.
